Witam. System Vista pracuje od 3 lat i przez ten czas był na bieżąco aktualizowany. Po instalacji sp1 zastosowałem narzędzie vsp1cln.exe, a po instalacji sp2 compcln.exe. Udało się wtedy odzyskać niewiele bo ok. 0,5-1 GB.
Wczoraj podczas przeglądania zawartości katalogu winsxs zauważyłem, że nadal znajdują się tam stare pliki głównie dll i exe z datami od 2007 r. np. 47 plików iexplore.exe. I to mnie zadziwiło bo te narzędzia mają za zadanie usunąć z systemu stare pliki, które po instalacji sp nie są już potrzebne. Okazuje się, że są one nadal w tym katalogu. Vsp1cln i compcln tego nie usunęły.
Czy macie jakieś pomysły w jaki sposób można usunąć te stare niepotrzebne pliki? Od razu zaznaczam, że reinstalacja odpada.

The Winsxs folder, stores multiple copies of dll's in order to let multiple applications run in Windows without any compatibility problem. If you browse inside, you will see what look like a lot of duplicate dlls, each having the same name. These are actually, different versions of the same files which are being stored; as different programs may require different versions. In short, Winsxs, which stands for 'Windows Side By Side', is Vista's native assembly cache. Libraries which are being by multiple applications are stored there. This feature was first introduced, in Windows ME and was considered as Microsoft's solution to the so-called 'dll hell' issues that plagued Windows 9x.
