I'm from Italy and I'm not very good with English language and firstly I want to apologize for that.
My brand new LG monitor (model 25UM58 - 21:9 aspect ratio) doesn't support 21:9 aspect ratio in FullHD resolution when connected to any source, excepted from PC (because aspect ratio is managed by the software instead by the monitor).

are stretched and maintaining the top and bottom black bar when I change the only setting available into the OS.
The thing becomes even more awkard (I have checked the user manuals) because the bigger model (29 inch) from the same series has more video options to manage the images properly.
Is there a way to resolve the problem? I mean... is thare a way to add those additional settings to the OS? Maybe by flashing a different firmware or stuff like that?
