NOTE: DO NOT fit used belt.
1. Ensure timing marks aligned [6] & [7].
2. Ensure timing pin inserted in flywheel [8].
3. Fit timing belt in anti-clockwise direction, starting at crankshaft sprocket.
4. Ensure marks on belt aligned with marks on sprockets.
5. Ensure belt is taut between sprockets.
6. Temporarily fit crankshaft pulley centre bolt [3]. Lightly tighten bolt.
7. Attach tension gauge to belt at . Tool No.Mot.1273 [11].
8. Slacken tensioner nut [9].
9. Turn tensioner anti-clockwise until tension gauge indicates 20 units. Use tool No.Mot.1135-01 [10].
10. Tighten tensioner nut [9]. Tightening torque: 50 Nm.
11. Remove tension gauge [11].
12. Remove timing pin [8].
13. Turn crankshaft two turns clockwise to TDC on No.1 cylinder.
Ensure timing pin can be inserted in flywheel [8].
NOTE: Ensure timing pin removed.

16. Slacken tensioner nut [9].
17. Turn tensioner until holes are horizontal [12]. Use tool No.Mot.1135-01 [10].
18. Tighten tensioner nut [9]. Tightening torque: 50 Nm.
19. Turn crankshaft two turns clockwise to TDC on No.1 cylinder.
Ensure timing pin can be inserted in flywheel [8].
NOTE: Ensure timing pin removed.

22. Fit tensioning tool [13]. Tool No.Mot.1386.
23. Apply anti-clockwise torque of 10 Nm [14].
24. Remove tensioning tool [13].
25. Attach tension gauge to belt at [11].
26. Tension gauge should indicate 20±3 units.
27. If tension not as specified: Adjust tensioner manually. Use tool No.Mot.1135-01 [10].
28. Tighten tensioner nut [9]. Tightening torque: 50 Nm.
29. Turn crankshaft two turns clockwise to TDC on No.1 cylinder.
