Aerialtronics is looking for an engineer with extensive FPGA and embedded software experience to join our R&D team. Are you looking for a challenge? Like to work with the latest technology? Love unmanned systems? Have all 0s and 1s to make it work? Apply!
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the creation of new and novel design architectures
- Take responsibility for projects and deadlines
- Take ownership of projects managing the involved resources to obtain the best results
- The role will generally involve working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in an agile development environment where you will provide feedback on timescales and project progress.
Mandatory skills:
- Significant experience in a high-tech FPGA development environment (5+ years).
- VHDL or Verilog coding, simulation and synthesis along with knowledge of FPGA architectures, and an understanding of how to make best use of the chip resources available.
- Understanding of standard hardware based and on-chip debugging techniques.
- Experience with embedded software design (5+ years).
- Experience and good knowledge of C/C++ (assembler will be an asset).
- A ‘Hands-on’ person with good analytical skills.
- Independence in work and ability to take responsibility for realized projects.
- Team player.
- Structured approach to software development.
- System level architecture and design.
- Experience working with software versioning control systems.
- Understanding hardware schematics.
- Skilled in using laboratory measurement equipment (e.g. scopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers).
Desired skills:
- Experience with software development for safety-critical applications(e.g. for automotive or avionics products, ideally for UAV products).
- Experience with managing embbedded software development team.
- Experience working with different microcontrollers, peripherals, SoCs & embedded development environments.
- Experience in several communication buses: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN.
- Operating knowledge of RTOS.
- Operating knowledge of ARM platforms.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP stack and protocols on top.
- Knowledge of Embedded Linux, BSP for custom boards and bash script.
- Hardware drivers design experience.
Qualifications:
A good master degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
