Dell 620, XP SP3 - Instalacja poprawki KB 232414 (xml 3.0) nieudana, co zrobić?

System XP Prof. z Sp3, aktualizacje włączone.Nie można zainstalować poprawki KB 232414 (xml 3.0). Nie pomagają: msxml3.msi, xmlInst.exe, fixit. Czy odinstalowanie sp3 może pomóc ?

To "nie można" to czym się dokładnie objawia? - Byłoby dobrze, o ile jest, z sygnaturą błędu z logu WU.

się z komunikatu w oczy rzuca (to coś napisał o *.msi widziałem, ale niewiele z tego wynika).
Nadto - czy w logach podglądu zdarzeń nic nie ma?

W dzienniku zdarzeń nie ma nic szczególnego.
Podczas próby instalacji pojawia się komunikat:
"An version occured while setup was trying to veryfy the version of MS Data Access Components currently instaled on thy machine."
